'Merlot' Big Blue
100% Bluefaced Leicester yarn, approx 100g. This yarn is Fleece Artist Big Blue, Chunky weight.
Bluefaced Leicester wool is unique to the British Isles. Often referred to as 'poor man's cashmere' Bluefaced Leicester yarn is said to be the finest commercial 'Lustre' Wool in the world. Due to extensive grading during processing this yarn is unbelievably soft, similar in character to high quality Mohair and Alpaca. This yarn is dense, very soft, low pilling and hard wearing.
Approximate tensions: 12 stitches per 10cm/4" on 6mm needles.
This yarn has been lovingly hand dyed, using the kettle dye method.
